Women's Track & Field Returns to Action at The Armory

NEW YORK - The Swarthmore College women's track & field team returned to action at the TCNJ Indoor Invitational on Saturday at The Armory.

Rose Teszler highlighted the evening for the Garnet with a second place effort in the 600m run. Quinn Basewitz also had a strong showing in the 800m run with a seventh place finish as she grabbed a personal best in the event.

Adria Retter had another strong performance in the weight throw and shot put. The senior finished fourth and sixth, respectively. 



HOW IT HAPPENED
- Teszler was second of four runners in the 600m run. The senior narrowly finished in second with a time of 1:37.21. 

- Retter took fourth in the weight throw with a 15.68m mark. The senior also placed sixth in the shot put with a top mark of 12.59m. 

- Basewitz impressed with a seventh place finish in the 800m run. The senior recorded a mark of 2:25.65 to set a new personal record. Montini also earned a top-20 finish with a time of 2:30.97 to claim 18th overall. 

- Johanna Schubert earned a ninth place finish in the 500m dash with a 1:24.09 mark. Morgan Mouer also raced in the event with a 1:25.48 finish. 

- Krystle Boadi finished 15th overall out of 43 participants in the 60m dash prelims with a time of 8.08. The mark matches her career-best, which she achieved at the season opener at Franklin & Marshall.

- Olivia Montini was 15th overall out of 46 competitors in the mile run with a 5:25.07 finish. 

- Hannah Swale took 15th overall in the 60m hurdles prelims with a time of 10.08. She also competed in the long jump with a top mark of 4.77m.
