Junior
Santina Zouras won a race for the first time in her collegiate career, leading a 1-2-3 finish by the Muhlenberg women's cross country team at the Bulldog Invitational.
Zouras
(pictured above), whose previous best finish was fifth at the 2016 Moravian Invitational, ran the 5K course in 20:04 to lead a field of 28 runners. She was followed by two freshmen making their collegiate debuts,
Abby Dalton in second and
Marielle Avola in third.
Junior
Stephanie Ng notched the best finish of her career, coming in 11th.
The Mules were second in the three-team season-opening race, finishing just a point behind Moravian. They easily outscored host DeSales, which finished eighth at the NCAA Mideast Regional last year.
The men placed two runners in the top three, with senior
Corey Mullins coming in second, just ahead of junior
Jason Richwall. It was the 12th career top-10 finish for Mullins and the second for Richwall.
Senior
Jacob Saxon, running his first race since 2016 after studying abroad last year, landed in the top 10 for the first time in his career, in eighth place. Freshman
Jonah Silverman came in 15th in his collegiate debut.
