HAVERFORD, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse closed out the 2019 season on a high note, beating rival Haverford College 11-9 on Saturday.

Dylan Rittenhouse led Swarthmore with three goals. Austin Chang, who finished the year with a team-high 31 goals, scored twice. Sophomore Mason Evarts also added in a pair of goals.

Jake Ross, Ryan Mulvey, Will Vespole and Zander Levitz all scored a goal as well.

Swarthmore fell behind 2-0 early in the first quarter but evened the score after back-to-back tallies from Mulvey and Vespole. Swarthmore kept pace with the Fords but trailed 5-4 going into the second half.

The Garnet scored twice in the third quarter to temporarily regain the lead, but Haverford struck for three straight goals going into the fourth quarter. Down two, Swarthmore again rallied with a pair of goals, this time from Ross and Chang.

Haverford's lead returned with 5:28 remaining in the contest, but Swarthmore closed out the game with three straight goals, two of which were from Evarts, to secure the win.

Ryan Izquierdo led Swarthmore with 12 faceoff wins on 21 attempts. In goal, Frankie Dillon registered seven saves.

Swarthmore closes out the 2019 season with a 9-6 record.
