ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore
Kaylin Chen earned a tied for fourth-place finish leading the Ursinus College women's golf team to a third-place finish at the Muhlenberg Spring Invitational on Monday.
The Bears had five members compete at the Lehigh Country Club, a par-70 course that stretches over 5,702-yards. Muhlenberg won the team title with a final tally of 394 (+114), while Lebanon Valley (409) placed second, and Ursinus (464) rounded out the top three teams. Albright College, Jefferson University, and Lafayette College each had members compete as individuals.
Chen finished tied for fourth overall signing for a 27-over 97 behind shooting a 47 on the front nine and a 50 on the back nine. Teammate
Elliot Schott recorded a 10
th-place finish after closing out her round with a 107 (+37).
Junior
Rebecca Chernoff tallied an 11
th-place finish after closing out her round with a final tally of 117 (+47). First-year
Lucy Bamford finished four shots improved from her round at the Albright College Invitational tallying a 14
th-place finish with a final total of 143.
Junior
Bethany Baskerville made her collegiate debut on the course and collected a 15
th-place finish with a 160. Baskerville's highlight of the day came on the par-3 13
th hole where she collected a bogey.
The Bears return to action on Thursday, April 13
th as they travel to Yardley, Pennsylvania for the Arcadia Knight Spring Invitational at the Makefield Highlands Golf Course.
