WINCHESTER, Va. – Senior Rachel Conhoff led six top-10 finishers for Ursinus Women's Cross Country as they took home the team title of the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Shenadoah University at the Kernstown Battlefield on Saturday morning.
 
 
Conhoff took home the individual title as well as the Bears took on teams from the south region in the race. She posted a time of 23:16.1 to win the first 6k race of the season for Ursinus. It was her first individual title win since finishing first at the Penn State Abington Invitational in the same weekend last September.
 
 
Senior Holly Chambers was not that far off from Conhoff as she finished third overall with her time of 24:00.1. Sophomore Brooke Adams placed sixth with a time of 24:47.7 and senior Jenna Lozzi followed just behind in seventh with a career-best 6k time of 24:57.0.
 
 Sophomores Samantha Grubb and Ryann Wauthier rounded out the top-10 for the Bears finishing eighth and ninth while posting times of 24:58.3 and 25:03.4, respectively.
 
First-year Mia Sideris recorded a 14th-place finish after recording a time of 26:00.1 in her first collegiate 6k race.
 
Five Bears competed in the 5k race as well with sophomore Meghan Carroll leading the group by finishing ninth on her time of 21:11.4. Sophomore Kirra Norling finished a tenth off Carroll in 10th on her time of 21:11/5
 
First-year Brooke Richards placed 17th with a time of 23:06.5 and classmate Corinne Martello followed in 21st on her time of 23:19.6. Junior Candace Hudson rounded out the runners in 26th overall with her time of 23:51.3
 
The Bears have a week off before returning to action on Saturday, October 8th as they will compete in the DeSales Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
