COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The Swarthmore College men's track & field team returned to action at the Ursinus College Outdoor Invitational on Saturday.  

Sam Brody highlighted a successful day for the Garnet with a first place effort in the 5000m run. Harrison Kim, Aidan Cantine, Atticus Hempel and Lukas Irwin each earned second place finishes for the Garnet.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brody won the 5000m run with a top time of 15.32.18. Harrison Kim finished one position behind his teammate with a 15:46.10 effort, while Colin DeLaney was fifth at 15:59.28. 

- Cantine placed second overall in the 800m run with a mark of 1:56.36. Ethan Rothenberg also earned a top-10 finish with a time of 1:58.63 to place sixth. 

- Hempel recorded a second place finish with a time of 4:04.98 in the 1500m run.

- Irwin finished second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.33m. 

- Bastiaan Phair was sixth overall in the high jump with a top effort of 1.77m. He also earned a sixth place effort in the pole vault at 2.60m.

- Quentin Adolphe placed sixth in the long jump at 6.13m, while Jonah Covitz was ninth with a top attempt of 5.94m.

- Swarthmore placed third in the 4x400 relay. The team of Alex Veith, Phair, Matthew Gutow and Rothenberg crossed the finish line at 3:32.89.
