Women's Lax Battles Tough on Senior Day

The Muhlenberg women's lacrosse team hung tough with nationally ranked Dickinson for a half before falling, 16-9, on Senior Day.

Prior to the game, the Mules (7-7. 2-5) honored seniors Alisa DeLuca, Erin Duca, Melissa Rudberg, Morgan Weiss, Amanda Tullo, Emma Carmody and Caroline Dolan (pictured left to right above, in white) and junior Courtney Allen, who is leaving for optometry school.

Junior Gabriella Crivelli scored three goals in the first 13 minutes to help stake the Mules to an early 4-2 lead. The 23rd-ranked Red Devils (10-4, 5-2), whose only losses this season are to other nationally ranked teams, reeled off the next four goals to take a 6-4 advantage.

Sophomore Taliah Carson scored the first of her three goals with 5:27 on the clock to send Muhlenberg into the break trailing by one, 6-5.

Dickinson scored the first four goals of the second half to gain some separation and later went on a 5-0 run.

Crivelli and Carson both netted their third hat tricks of the season, while freshman Madeline Dill recorded a career-high three assists.

Junior Jordan Segrave reached double figures in saves for the seventh straight game, stopping 13 shots to give her an even 150 for the season. She is the first Mule goalie to notch 150 saves in a season since 2006.

Among the seniors, Dolan controlled eight draws and caused two turnovers; Duca picked up a career-high five ground balls; Weiss recorded four ground balls; and Tullo scored her 145th career goal.
