Game Summary
First Quarter: The start of the game was delayed 10 minutes due to lightning in the vicinity and it didn't take long after the opening whistle for another pause due to the weather with the second lasting about 50 minutes. When the teams returned the action hit a high point with Soares and Beccaria breaking down the Alvernia defense with back-to-back goals just over a minute apart. The Golden Wolves didn't wait long to answer with Getz finding the back of the cage with 1:15 left in the period.
Second Quarter: The second period was quiet until Alvernia charged up the field with about nine minutes left in the first half. Makenzie Smeigh deflected a shot at the cage that was stopped by Caputa and just a few seconds later, Potoczak preserved the one-goal lead with a diving save toward the left post.
Third Quarter: Gettysburg managed the only penalty corner and shot in the third quarter.
Fourth Quarter: The Bullets appeared on the verge of clinching their second win in a row until Lilliock emerged out of a group in front of the goal to swipe the ball into the cage with 1:15 left in regulation. Gettysburg was unable to get a shot off following a penalty corner with 30 seconds remaining.
Overtime: Gettysburg went right on the attack at the start of overtime, forcing three shots and a pair of penalty corners in the first eight minutes. The pressure eventually paid off when Bertrando controlled the ball on the right wing and dropped it in for Beccaria posting in front. The sophomore quickly tapped it through the keeper's legs for the game-winner.

Birthday Bash
Wednesday's game marked the fifth time the Bullets have played on Coach Jordan's birthday. Gettysburg lost to Rowan 3-2 in overtime in 2004 before back-to-back wins against Catholic (2-1) and Cabrini (3-1) in 2007 and 2010, respectively. The last time the team played on Jordan's birthday was a 4-0 loss to Catholic in 2012.

Where the Series Stands Now
