Highlighted by seven runs over the first four innings, the Muhlenberg baseball team picked up a convincing 10-2 win at Lebanon Valley.
The Mules (9-7) plated as many runs as was the inning number in each of the first three frames before freshman
Thomas Rodgers sent a 1-1 pitch deep to left for his second home run of the season in the top of the fourth.
Junior
John Serruto played a role in the first three runs, scoring the first and third while driving in senior
Justin Revel with a double down the left field line in the second inning. Revel went on to plate two runs in the third with a one out, bases loaded single through the left side.
Seven of the Muhlenberg's 16 hits were of the extra-base variety. Aside from Rodgers' homer, six players hit a double. The Mules weren't just getting base runners from hits either with seven batters reaching via walk.
Rodgers (pictured above) went 3-for-4 at the dish to lead the offense, he also scored three runs. Revel along with junior Brendan Weiss and freshman
Cameron Miller each drove in two runs.
Freshman
Evan Spano retired the first five batters in order, and did not allow a runner past second until the fourth inning.
