WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Gettysburg College wrestling team won the final four matches to rally past McDaniel College for a 23-18 decision in a Centennial Conference match up inside the Gill Center Thursday evening.
Gettysburg (6-4, 1-2 CC) fell behind with a forfeit and pin at 125 and 133, respectively, at McDaniel (10-8, 0-3 CC). Sophomore
Sean Thompson (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) put the Bullets on the board with a takedown with about a minute to go to secure a 6-4 win over Isaiah Edmond at 141 pounds.
Sophomore
Phil Angelo (Summit, N.J./Summit) followed his classmate with a strong showing at 149 pounds, out-pointing Skyler Minutelli by major decision 13-4.
The Green Terror ran the advantage to 18-7 in the team score with a pair of decisions by Wade Bishop and Cole Nagle at 157 and 165, respectively.
Senior
Colin Kowalski (Derwood, Md./Georgetown Prep) put Gettysburg on the comeback trail with another dominating effort at 174, recording his 13th consecutive victory and 14th pin of the season in less than two minutes. The win improved Kowalski's record to 26-2 on the year and leaves him two wins shy of 100 for his career.

Dan Ebert (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Warde) held off a late charge by Ronnie Wuest for an 11-6 win to run his season record to 17-6 at 184. Junior
Austin Roskos (Lawrenceville, N.J./Hopewell Valley Central) put Gettysburg in front 19-18 with a 3-2 win at 197 pounds
Senior
Paul Triandafilou (Derwood, Md./Georgetown Prep), ranked eighth in the country, closed things out with a 9-0 major decision at heavyweight. He improved to 22-3 this season and is just four wins shy of second place on Gettysburg's all-time list.
Gettysburg heads right back to McDaniel Saturday for a Centennial quad. The Bullets will face Johns Hopkins University and Washington and Lee University beginning at noon.
