The Muhlenberg track and field teams won seven medals - a gold, two silvers and four bronzes - on the second day of the Centennial Conference Championships.
Combined with the four medals the Mules won on the first day, it made for one of their best CC indoor meets in recent years.
The men came in fourth, a four-place improvement from last year, with 76 points, the most they've scored indoors since 2012. Muhlenberg also finished ahead of Haverford for the first time ever.
The women placed fifth for their best showing in seven years. Their 62¾ points were just a half-point away from fourth-place Ursinus.
It's the first time since 2010 both Mule teams placed in the top five at the CC indoor meet.
Sophomore
Sam Morgan brought home the gold medal, winning the 800 meters to match his first-place finish in the same event at the CC outdoor meet last May. Morgan won by nearly a half-second against a Johns Hopkins runner to become Muhlenberg's first indoor 800 champ since 2008.
Senior
Jason Richwall and junior
Alana Noehrenberg earned silvers. Richwall ran a personal-best 8:34.90 in the 3000 meters to win his first silver in an open event; he previously claimed won as part of a relay team. Noehrenberg improved on her bronze medal performance from last year, tying for the best mark in the high jump but taking second based on number of attempts.
Senior
Rashida Haye won her second medal of the meet, following up a silver performance in the pentathlon by running a personal-best 9.67 in the 60 hurdles to come in third.
Sophomore
Ben Arehart's personal-best high jump of 6-2 earned him a bronze, and junior
Emily Mitchell (long jump) and sophomore
Abby Dalton (mile) also won bronze.
