WESTMINSTER, Md. - Host McDaniel College raced out to a 7-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back as it recorded a 15-1 non-conference women's lacrosse victory over Goucher College Saturday afternoon at Gill Stadium.
- McDaniel (1-0) scored just 54 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Green Terror built a 4-0 lead over Goucher (0-1) 4:13 into the game and led 7-0 after one quarter.
- The hosts held a 13-1 shot advantage in the opening frame. Belle Christ (Randolph, N.J./Randolph) made five saves in the opening period.
- McDaniel made it 8-0 4:45 into the second on an Emma Legacy goal.
- The Green Terror scored four times in the quarter and led 11-0 at the break.
- McDaniel got goals from three different players in the third as it extended its advantage to 14-0.
- Goucher got on the board with 2:24 remaining when first year Katie Kebrich (Towson, Md./Towson) scored her first collegiate goal by converting a free position.
- The Green Terror held a 25-4 shot advantage and won 16 of the game's 20 draw controls.
- Christ made six saves in the first half before giving way to Sydney Lewis (Balfimore, Md./Carver), who made three saves over the final 30 minutes.
