Devils Take Part in Bison Open

LEWISBURG, Pa. - After not being able to have their schedule home meet this weekend the Dickinson men's track and field team was able to still find a way to get some athletes registered to compete in the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell University on Friday and Saturday. 

Sprints
Two DC runners took part in the 200m with William O'Connor finishing in 33rd with a time of 24-seconds even, while Matthew Greenley posted a 25.64 for 62nd. 

Cole Boback rounded out the Top-10 for the 400m stopping the clock at 51.56. Ian Gormley took part in the event as well hitting the line in 54.66.

Distance
Trevor Richwine was the lone Devil in the 800m posting a solid time of 2:00.00 for seventh. 

In the 3000m, Alexander Kane posted a fifth-place result with a mark of 8:53.85. Both Romario Cruz and James Marks landed inside the Top-20 with times of 9:00.65 (14th) and 9:11.29 (20th) respectively. Matthew Dietrick rounded out the Devils quartet with a 22nd-place finish at 9:17.31.

A pair of Devils earned Top-10 places for the 5000m as Michael Loalbo and William Tripp grabbed eighth (16:31.71) and ninth (16:31.85) respectively. 

Teddy Mercer came close to claiming the top spot in the mile, but fell just short as his time of 4:21.12 was two seconds off the pace of Joey Cintavey from Division II Shippensburg University. Nolan Meincke also secured a Top-10 result finishing in seventh thanks to a 4:25.88. Benjamin Moseman was involved as well clocking in at 4:33.03 for 17th. 

Relays 
In the 4x400m the team of Boback, Gormley, Mercer and Richwine were the first Division III to finish as their time of 3:32.92 was good for seventh in the 16-team field. 

Field
Ethan Hart had a Top-5 finish in the shot put as his toss of 15.69m was good for fourth. He then landed in 19th during the weight throw with a heave of 12.90m.

Special
Charlie Miske was a combatant in the heptathlon finishing in tenth overall with 3788 points. His best event was the pole vault where he finished in fifth after clearing 3.01m. He also finished inside the Top-10 of the 1000m (6th - 2:52.18) and shot put (7th - 10.01m).  

Dickinson also competed in the mixed 4x400m relay with the team of Maddie Brown, Mariana Penuela, Luke Sternick and Meinke breaking the DC record with a time of 4:00.05.

Next on the Track
Dickinson gets back to work on Friday afternoon at 4:30pm when they compete in the New York University Invitational.
