How it Happened
• Hopkins struck first with junior

RJ Moore played the ball over the top of the defense, Brown slipped in and slotted a shot past the Eagles' keeper in the 31
st minute.
• Mary Washington drew level in the 50
th minute when Gabriel Soriano finished a cross from Idrissa Barrie. The teams battled for 40 minutes but neither team could get the go-ahead go, forcing overtime. With time winding down in the first overtime, the Eagles got a series of corner kicks and converted on the third attempt. Soriano took the kick, sending it to Ben Ahrens, who beat junior

• Hopkins falls to 0-6-1 all-time against Mary Washington. This was the second straight overtime game and fourth straight one-goal decision in the series. All but one of the seven all-time meetings have been decided by one goal.
