HERSHEY, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Golf finished tied for fifth among 15 teams at the Hershey Cup on Sunday. The two-day event was cut short to one round because of snow on Monday. Dan Altieri finished in a tie for third-place with a 74 on the par-71 6,551-yard course at Hershey Country Club.
Swarthmore's four scores were all south of 80. Michael Brown, Vamsi Damerla and Ankur Malik all went for 79 and tied for 31st overall. Nick DiMaio carded Swarthmore's fifth score with an 80.
Kenyon won the event with a 299 (+15). Swarthmore tied Centennial Conference opponent Franklin and Marshall with a 311 (+27), and finished ahead of two other Centennial schools, Gettysburg (+32) and McDaniel (+34).
Swarthmore also had another team in action on Saturday at the Scotland Run Invitational. Arjun Madan led Swarthmore's second team with a 78 on the par-71, 6,448-yard course and finished tied for ninth overall.
Chris Zhang tied for 14th with an 80, and Adam Agustin and Max Katz-Balmes were right behind him at 82.
Kevin Zheng carded an 84 to tie for 25th.
