The Muhlenberg football team put on a prime time performance in a 45-21 win against Ursinus.
Playing just their second Friday night home game, the sixth-ranked Mules outscored the Bears 38-7 over the final three quarters to remain undefeated at 6-0.

Ryan Curtiss caught seven passes for 103 yards and three touchdowns, breaking the Centennial Conference record for career touchdown receptions by a tight end (21). The first Mule tight end to catch three TDs in a game, he also moved to within 10 yards of breaking the CC mark for career receiving yards by a tight end.
Junior
Michael Hnatkowsky completed 19 of 25 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns for his third consecutive game with at least four scoring strikes. Over those three games, he has completed 54 of 68 passes with 13 touchdowns and no interceptions.

James Diggs rushed for a season-high 129 yards and a 2-yard touchdown that gave the Mules a 7-0 lead after their first drive of the game.
Touchdowns on back-to-back drives put the Bears (3-3, 2-3) ahead, 14-7, with 3:35 left in the first quarter. The deficit was the first faced by Muhlenberg all season.
A career-best 43-yard field goal by senior
Todd Spirt brought Muhlenberg to within 14-10, and a 98-yard drive that culminated with a 4-yard touchdown pass from Hnatkowsky to Curtiss gave the Mules the lead for good at 17-14 late in the first half.
Ursinus was driving for a potential go-ahead touchdown at the end of the half, but junior
Nick Sirico picked off a pass near the goal line to end the threat.
Muhlenberg extended its lead on a trick play with 6:04 left in the third quarter, with senior wide receiver
Max Kirin finding Curtiss in the end zone from 38 yards out. Kirin is the second non-quarterback to throw a touchdown pass for the Mules this season.

After giving up two touchdowns in the first quarter, the defense settled in and allowed only one score the rest of the way. The Mules recorded six sacks, including 2½ by senior
