The Muhlenberg men's basketball team shot over 70 percent from three-point range in the second half and went on to defeat Washington College, 78-68, for its third straight win.
Freshman Nate Henty Brown and sophomore
Michael Morreale both went 4-for-4 from long distance in the second half and finished with career highs in points. Henty Brown scored 21, while Morreale celebrated his 20th birthday by scoring 20 points.
Junior
Matt Gnias and freshman
Dan Gaines finished with 10 points apiece and combined for 13 assists.
The Mules (5-3, 3-1) used an 11-0 run, which featured seven points by Gnias, to open up a 13-point first half lead. The Shoremen (4-6, 0-4) scored the final seven points of the half to go into the break down only six, at 28-22.
The margin was seven, 40-33, six minutes into the second half before Muhlenberg began lighting it up from beyond the arc against Washington's 1-3-1 zone. The Mules made five consecutive threes, two by Morreale and one each by Henty Brown, freshman

Spencer Duke, in a 15-6 run that increased the margin to 16.
Henty Brown later made back-to-back treys to up the lead to 20 with under eight minutes to go.
The Mules, who set a school record with 16 three-pointers six days ago at Haverford, finished with 15 in 30 attempts.

(pictured above) scored 8 points to go along with 6 rebounds, helping Muhlenberg to a 37-31 advantage on the boards.
