CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The regionally ranked Gettysburg College women's soccer team remains undefeated after taking down Washington College in the Centennial Conference opener on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
First Half:
- It was a low offensive attacking affair as the Shorewomen held the slight 4-3 shot advantage over the Bullets.
- Washington had a chance to pull ahead 4:25 into the game as they took a penalty kick, but sophomore goalkeeper Maddie Cunningham '22 (Mount Airy, Md./Linganore) halted the shot from going into the back of the net.
Second Half:
- The Bullets doubled their shot attempts 12 minutes into the second half and finally produced a tally with 62:14 on the clock. Cenatiempo collected her fourth goal of the season as she beat multiple defender to score off the back post.
- Gettysburg played a great final stanza as the team locked down and did not allow a Washington shot attempt in the final thirty minutes.

The Bullets now hold a 20-1 record in the all-time series that dates back to 1999. Washington snapped the perfect streak last year, defeating the Bullets 3-2 in Gettysburg. Gettysburg has shutout Washington 15 of the 20 matches played, while the two teams have never gone into an overtime match. In the series, Gettysburg has outscored Washington by a whopping 75-9.
