HAVERFORD, Pa. – A second place finish by
Aiden Tomov in the 800-meter run led the Swarthmore College Men's Track and Field team at the Seamus McElligott Invitational.
Tomov crossed in a time of 1:58.96. Shortly behind,
Kevin Hudson crossed the finish line with a time of 2:00.58.
Chris Brandt and
Evan Baker added times of 2:02.16 and 2:04.68, respectively.
Aidan Cantine added a first place finish in the mile. The freshman crossed with a season best time of 4:25.83.
Jonah Ring, 4:40.36, crossed in 15th place while
Lucas Heinzerling added a time of 4:43.19.
Vaughn Parts added a victory in the 5,000-meter run for the Garnet. The senior crossed the finish line in 15:47.81, while Graham Doskhoch finish with a time of 16:43.72.
Adil Belgaumi earned a ninth place finish in the 60-meter dash. The senior crossed the finish line tied in a season best time of 7.47 seconds.
Deante Bryan and
Gabe Stuger added times of 7.77 and 7.81, respectively.
Belgaumi crossed the finish line in the 200-meter run with a time of 23.99 for a ninth place finish.
Justin Snyder followed with a time of 24.54. Belgaumi added a mark a of 6.12m (20'-11") in the long jump, which was good for a second place finish.
In the 400 meter run,
Judah Raab earned a ninth place finish with a time of 54.32.
In the field events,
Christopher Folk earned a first place finish in the high jump. The freshman recorded a best height of 1.87-m (6'-1.5"), which currently ranks third in the Centennial Conference. Snyder added a height of 1.65m (5'-5") for a fifth place finish.
Alex Flowers earned a second place finish in the pole vault,
Max Park ended in fourth place. Flowers finished with a height of 3.95m (12'-11.5"), and Park reached a mark of 3.80m (12'-5.5").
Swarthmore will return to Haverford College on February 22nd, as the Garnet compete in the Keogh Invitational.
