WINCHESTER, Va. - McDaniel College men's cross country senior
Wyatt Farace led the Green Terror to a first-place finish at the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Shenandoah University on Saturday.
The Green Terror finished first on the 6k course with a total of 27 points, eight ahead of second-place Mary Washington and 31 in front of third-place Ursinus.
Farace ran a time of 19:09 which is the best in program history on the Kernstown Battlefield course.
The next three runners for McDaniel placed fourth, fifth and sixth, led by freshman
Jack Sears who ran a time of 19:37. Junior
Nick Raumann followed in 20:21 while junior
Tyler Richardson finished in 20:33. Sears posted the fourth-fastest time for a Green Terror on that course with Raumann posting the seventh-best and Richardson in 10th.
Freshman
Ronan Perrone rounded out the top-five for the Green Terror with an 11th-place finish in a time of 20:57. Junior
Keith Jewell (23:28.2), sophomore
Sean Irwin (23:59.5) and senior
Evan Lowengrub (24:43.0) finished 20th, 21st and 24th, respectively.
McDaniel is back in action on Friday, Sept. 30 at the prestigious Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
