EWING, N.J. - Swarthmore College Women's Outdoor Track & Field freshman
Nora Blodgett took first place in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase at the Lions Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey on Saturday. She completed the race in 12:32.18.
The 4x100m relay team also took first in 50.92 seconds. That team consisted of sophomore
Lauren Holt, senior
Kayla Camacho, junior
Sayaka Vaules and senior
Simran Khanna.
Holt, Camacho and Khanna joined junior
Sydney Covitz to earn second in the 4x400m relay as well. Their time was 4:01.59.
Covitz took second in the 800m run with a personal-best mark of 2:17.53.
Holt placed third in the 400m dash in 58.16 seconds.
Sophomore
Maya Zimmerman took third place in the javelin with a throw of 38.48m (126 feet 3 inches), falling short of her own school record by one inch.
Next up for Swarthmore are the Centennial Conference Championships in Allentown, Pa., on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
