Game Notes
The No. 16 Franklin & Marshall field hockey team (10-3, 6-0 CC) wraps up the regular season with two Centennial Conference road games. The Diplomats play Muhlenberg (5-10, 3-6 CC) Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. F&M will then play McDaniel (5-9, 1-7 CC) Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Last Week
F&M split the week, falling to No. 7 Johns Hopkins 3-0 Wednesday evening before beating Bryn Mawr 3-2 Saturday afternoon.
In the 3-2 win against Bryn Mawr, Grace Fass had the games first goal on an assist from Sophie Carroll in the first quarter. Avery Niedland tallied her first career goal in the second period after she deflected Amelia McCarthy's pass into the net. Darby Klopp celebrated her Senior Day by scoring off a crossing pass from Jessica Miller in the third quarter. The Diplomats had 21 shots with 13 on net in the win. Read the recap here.
Last Time
Last season, F&M slipped past Muhlenberg 1-0 after Jessica Miller scored the games lone goal just eight minutes into the contest. The Diplomats outshot the Mules 8-6 in the win. Read the recap here.
Miller also scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory against McDaniel last fall. Miller's goal was scored five minutes into the second quarter on a feed from Darby Klopp. F&M totaled 14 shots with seven on net in the win. Read the recap here.
Muhlenberg Team Preview
The Mules come into Wednesday's game after dropping their last four games. Muhlenberg's three CC wins this fall have come against Dickinson, McDaniel, and Gettysburg. Abba Diglio leads the Mules in points (17) and goals (seven). Goalkeeper Grace Leard has a 1.76 goals-against average and a save percentage of 74.8 percent.
McDaniel Team Preview
McDaniel has dropped its last four games, with its last victory coming against Dickinson, 2-1, for the Green Terror's only CC win this season. Dillan Williams holds the team-lead in points (eight) and goals (three). Goalkeeper Mikayla Smith has a 2.46 goals-against average and a save percentage of 73.8 percent this season.
