Meet Highlights
  • Sheldon picked up his third win in as many indoor meets. After winning the mile at F&M and the 3,000-meter run at Susquehanna, the senior ran away from the field in the 5,000 meters on Saturday. His mark of 14:58.10 was 40 seconds ahead of the runner-up finisher and bested the previous school record held by Ben Taber '17 by nine seconds.
  • Barnes topped his PR and moved closer to the program record with a third-place finish in the long jump. He tacked on 2.25 inches to his previous personal best with his first leap into the pit. Barnes led through two jumps before Cameron Graham from Piedmont busted out a winning mark of 22 feet, 3.75 inches on his third try.
  • McKeever turned in another solid showing and trailed only three runners from Carnegie Mellon in the 3,000 meters. The junior, who won the 5,000 meters last week, moved into the No. 3 spot on Gettysburg's all-time list with a time of 8:44.32.
  • Motill won his prelim heat of the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.30. He blazed a faster trail in the finals, finishing 0.06 behind leader Chris Donsereaux in fourth place. Motill's time of 7.17 was 0.08 seconds better than his previous best and trails only teammate Ezekiel Omosanya (Lagos, Nigeria/Northfield Mount Hermon (Mass.)) on the all-time list.
  • Liedtka improved upon his prelim time on the way to a sixth-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles. After sneaking into the finals as the No. 8 seed coming out of the prelims, the first-year rocketed to the line in 9.13 seconds, besting his previous PR by 0.02. He also finished 11th in the 200-meter dash.
  • Sophomore William Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton) just missed a top-10 finish in the mile. Hopkins beat his PR by nearly 12 seconds with a time of 4:36.38.
