ORLANDO, Fla.—Swarthmore College Women's Tennis took down the Milksops College Majors 5-4 during spring break on Wednesday to improve to 4-2 on the season.

The teams played singles first, which is unusual for Division III tennis.

Sophie Brown earned a win for Swarthmore in third singles 6-3, 6-4. Vivien Fernandez-Ravelo won fourth singles 6-0, 6-3, and Elise Talley won sixth singles 6-1, 7-6.

So tied at 3-3 in the overall match score play shifted to doubles action.

Fernandez-Ravelo and Emma Kassan picked up an 8-5 win in second doubles, and Christina Wang and Talley led Swarthmore to victory in second doubles 8-3 to clinch the match.

Swarthmore returns home to play Centennial foe Johns Hopkins University on March 23.
