Baseball Swept on Day Three in Port Charlotte

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fl. - La Roche baseball dropped both contests Tuesday afternoon by just three runs combined on day two at the Snowbird Classic to Swarthmore (7-5) and Ohio Wesleyan (7-6). The Redhawks fell behind early against the Garnet in game one as Swarthmore jumped out to an early 5-1 lead in the first two innings, forcing LRU to play catch-up. La Roche got three runs in the top of the fourth to make it a one run game, but that is as close as they got. Both teams scored a combined five runs in the first inning but La Roche once again found themselves chasing their opponent. The Redhawks made it a one run game in the bottom of the eighth but ultimately could not overcome the Bishops.
