LEESBURG, Va. - McDaniel College men's cross country freshman
Jack Sears and senior
Wyatt Farace led the Green Terror to a second-place finish at the inaugural Marymount Derby on Saturday at Morven Park.
McDaniel finished with a score of 37 points, just seven points behind Grove City. St. Mary's (Md.) finished third followed by host Marymount (Va.).
Sears ran a time of 27:50.5 in the 8k race to place second overall while Farace finished third with a time of 28:14.2. Junior
Tyler Richardson posted his first career top-10 finish with a time of 29:18.7. Freshman
Ronan Perron crossed the line in 11th, just three seconds behind with a time of 29:21.6.

Jack Riser rounded out the team score in 22nd place with a time of 31:34.1.
The Green Terror had 11 runners compete in today's event. Junior
Keith Jewell finished 25th in a time of 31:49.2 while sophomore
Sean Irwin rounded out the top-30 with a time of 33:48.4.

McDaniel will now prepare for the Centennial Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Haverford on Saturday, Oct. 29.
