COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Ursinus College Saturday afternoon.
 
Gettysburg (5-11, 0-7 CC) jumped in front at Ursinus (7-9, 2-5 CC) with a victory at third doubles as junior Jacob Meehan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) and sophomore Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) secured an 8-3 victory. The Bears held on for wins at the remaining two flights, logging an 8-6 win at No. 1 and surviving in a tiebreaker 8-7 (7-5) at No. 2.
 
Three of the six singles matches went to tiebreakers with Ursinus winning in a second-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles (6-4, 7-6 (12-10)) and winning a pair of third-set breakers at third (4-6, 6-1, 10-6) and fourth (4-6, 6-3, 10-8) singles. Sophomore Patrick Bodovitz (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) picked up Gettysburg's final point with an 8-6 win over Kyle Bookman at No. 6.
 
Gettysburg hosts McDaniel on Wednesday, April 24, at 3:30 p.m.
