Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team (5-7, 2-5 CC) gets set for two Centennial Conference games this week after winning two of three contests to begin the new year. The Diplomats travel to face Gettysburg (6-5, 3-3 CC) Thursday at 6:00 p.m. before returning to the Mayser Center to host McDaniel (6-6, 4-3 CC) Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Last Week

F&M started 2023 on the right foot as the Diplomats cruised to a 65-54 win over Salisbury. Lizzie Neville knocked down a career-high 24 points and Kennedy Wilburn finished with a double-double (14 points, 14 rebounds) in the win. Read the full recap here.

Franklin & Marshall downed Swarthmore, 57-50, Saturday afternoon in front of a home crowd at the Mayser Center. Wilburn (16 points, 15 rebounds) tallied her fourth double-double of the season in the victory. Gettysburg currently holds an 18-game winning streak over F&M that stretches back to the 2011-12 season. In the Diplomats 51-48 victory over the Bullets, Elizabeth Snyder '12 led the game in scoring with 15 points and three three-pointers in the contest. F&M displayed its long-range shooting ability as it shot 54.5 percent from beyond the arc in the win. Read the full recap here.

Franklin & Marshall swept McDaniel in its two matchups during the 2021-22 campaign. In the most recent victory, F&M downed the Green Terror on Senior Day, 57-48. Gettysburg Team Preview

The Bullets enter Thursday's matchup having won three of their last four games. Guard Mackenzie Szlosek leads Gettysburg in scoring, averaging 11.9 points per game. Gettysburg knows how to control the ball as the Bullets average just 11.9 turnovers per contest, which is the third lowest average in the country.

McDaniel Team Preview

Before playing F&M on Saturday, McDaniel hosts Johns Hopkins Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Coming into their meeting with the Blue Jays, the Green Terror had their four-game winning streak snapped by Haverford, 49-40, Tuesday evening. McDaniel leads the CC in three point percentage, shooting 28.8 percent and averaging 4.4 three-point attempts per game. Forward Elaina Beckett leads McDaniel in scoring, averaging 8.3 points per game. Guard Josey Klingenberg leads the CC in assists, averaging 4.8 per contest.
