ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - McDaniel College men's swimming sophomore
Christian Walker totaled one runner-up and two third-place finishes as the Green Terror fell in a dual meet at Elizabethtown Saturday, 153-39.
Walker finished second in the 100-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 56.03 seconds, edging out Elizabethtown's Austin Smith by 0.20 seconds. Walker also finished third in the 100-yard backstroke in a season-best 1:10.25 and third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:57.54.
Senior
Jack Alperstein had a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.13 seconds and placed third in the 100-yard freestyle in 54.14 seconds.
Alperstein was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team along with
Matthew Lessler,
Zach Askounes and
Aleksei Dudley that touched the wall third with a time of 1:39.50, their second-fastest this season.
Individually, Lessler turned in a pair of third-place finishes in 200-yard IM and 100-yard backstroke. Meanwhile, Askounes was third in the 500-yard freestyle and Dudley was third in the 1,000-yard freestyle.
Dudley was also fourth in the 100-yard butterfly while sophomore
Mark Sanelli was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke.
McDaniel will host a quad meet with Bryn Mawr, Stevenson and Hood next Saturday, Jan. 28 at Harlow Pool on Senior Day. Meet time is at 1 p.m.
