• Short Story:
Justin Canedy won the first decathlon of the outdoor season as the freshman won all but four events and totaled 6,340 points in the event as he defeated second-place finisher, Nevin Stambaugh by 1,737 points.
Johns Hopkins Winners:
• Canedy: 110 hurdles – 15.56, discus – 35.75m.
Other Meet Highlights:
• Canedy entered day two with a 1,058-point lead over second place and he quickly added to his already impressive lead with a victory in the 110-hurdles to add 783 points to his total and followed that up with a victory in the discus with a throw of 35.75. The freshman also finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.05m, second in the javelin (34.15m) and third in the 1,500-meter run as he clocked in with a time of 5:23.36. His 6,340 points in the event currently ranks third in the country.

Results
• Short Story: Four Blue Jays won events at the Blue Jay Invitational to help lead Johns Hopkins to a second-place finish on the day with 131.5 total points, just seven behind the winner Bloomfield.
Johns Hopkins Winners:
• Freshman
Nathaniel Amoah topped the field in the 400-meter dash as he clocked in at 50.05.
• Freshman
Zach Ellis grabbed the top spot in the javelin with a toss of 50.22 meters (164'9").
• Junior
Matthew Su continued his impressive year in the long jump as he placed first with a mark of 7.27 meters (23'10.25"). He currently ranks fourth in the country with that mark.
• Senior
Benjamin Huang was the fourth and final first-place finisher for the Blue Jays as he grabbed the top spot in the pole vault as he cleared 4.53 meters (14'10.25").
Other Meet Highlights:
• Alex Mollick grabbed a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash as he crossed the line in 11.08 and he followed that up with a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash clocking in with a time of 22.26.

Kyle Battles earned a third-place finish in the javelin with a throw of 47.81 meters while
Garrett Pitt added another third-place finish for the Blue Jays as he finished the steeplechase in 10:07.85.

Liam Wall (4:07.08) and
Jacob Meyer (4:09.22) finished 3-4 in the 1,500-meter run while
Will Howe came in fourth in the 5k with a time of 16:04.16.

Alex Dixon crossed the line in third in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:57.36 and was also a key member of the 4x400 relay team of Mollick,
Jonathon Brown and Amoah as the team finished second with a time of 3:22.52.
• Freshman
Ethan Bartlett continued to impress as he took third in the triple jump (13.10m) and sixth in the long jump with a mark of 6.49m.
