SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Women's Swimming earned another Centennial Conference win on Saturday, cruising past the Washington College Shorewomen 191-69. The Garnet are now 4-1 this season in Centennial dual meets.
The Garnet opened the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay. Upperclassmen Stephanie Tilneac and Liz Staton led off the relay, and freshmen Liz Gallagher and Anna Lyn closed it out to a time of 1:52.66.
Hannah Kloetzer won the 1,000 free with plenty of time to spare, coming back home in 10:58.64.
Lyn earned an individual win in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.83 and the Garnet swept that event; Sophia Lee and Scout Clark took second and third. The Garnet also went one-two-three in the 100 breaststroke. Staton took first while Jenna Bowman and Sierra Bienz claimed the next two spots.
Tilneac got an individual claim on first place in the 100 back (1:01.89).
Gallagher finished first in both the 100 and 200 fly.
Sophie Moody darted to first place in the 50 free with a time of 26.40, and in the 100 free, it was Lee getting first with a time of 55.72.
Freshman Anna Kottakis claimed first in the 200 back with a time of 2:16.34.
Staton tallied another nine points for Swarthmore with a win in the 200 breaststroke (2:29.59).
In the final individual event, the 200 IM, Swarthmore again had a sweep of the top three spots. Clark, Bowman and Bienz went first, second and third, respectively.
Gallagher, Lee, Kottakis and Lyn closed out the meet with a win in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:43.18.
The Garnet return to action on Nov. 30 with a three-day meet at TCNJ.
