There was plenty to love for the Muhlenberg track and field teams in their Valentine's Day meet on Staten Island.
With two weeks to go until the Centennial Conference Championships, the Mules combined for three regional qualifiers, two event winners and three moves on the all-time performance list.
Both of the winners were in the mile. Sophomore
Abby Dalton (pictured above left) finished in 5:06.41, cutting nearly 10 seconds off her previous personal best of 5:16.10 and moving from sixth to fourth on the Muhlenberg all-time performance list. Entering the weekend, only four CC athletes had posted better times this season.
Senior
Jason Richwall also won the mile with a regional-qualifying time of 4:19.39. He improved his PR from 4:22.21 and hopped from eighth to sixth on the performance list.
Sophomore
Scotty Grigas entered the performance list in the 200 meters with his time of 23.38. Sophomore
Sam Morgan placed fifth in the invitational 800 and qualified for regionals with a personal-best time of 1:55.41.
The Mules high jumpers also fared well: junior
Alana Noehrenberg established a personal best of 5-1, and sophomore
Ben Arehart (pictured above right) came in fourth at 6-0.
