GETTYSBURG, Pa. – The Gettysburg College men's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 victory over Centennial Conference opponent McDaniel College on Wednesday in its home finale.
 
Gettysburg (6-11, 1-7 CC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in doubles against McDaniel (1-10, 0-8 CC). Seniors Nick D'Amore (Scotch Plains, N.J./Wardlaw-Hartridge) and Kevin Maier (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) teamed up for an 8-6 win at top flight. Junior Mike Mills (Cape Elizabeth, Maine/Cape Elizabeth) and senior Andrew Corwin (Medford, N.J./Shawnee) picked up an 8-4 win at No. 2, while junior Jacob Meehan (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) and senior Luca Menicali (Fermo, Italy Liceo Scientifico) scored an 8-1 win at third flight.  
 
Mills, Corwin, and sophomore Harrison Brown (Annapolis, Md./Broadneck) each tallied straight-set wins in singles competition. Mills won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2, Corwin won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4, and Brown won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5. Maier and sophomore Patrick Bodovitz (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) logged in a pair of bagels (6-0, 6-0) in a win at the third and sixth singles, respectively.
 
Gettysburg caps the season on the road at Haverford College Saturday at 11 a.m.
