LAST TIME OUT

The Dickinson women's lacrosse team traveled to the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame to face St. Mary's College on Saturday afternoon. The Red Devils suffered a second straight heartbreaker as the Seahawks rallied to force overtime and then tallied the game-winner in the second extra frame for an 11-10 win.

The first half was a back-and-forth battle with both teams trading goals before the Red Devils held a 6-4 edge at the break.

The Seahawks scored a pair of quick goals before the Red Devils countered with a pair as Greta Holt (Alexandria, Va./Episcopal) found the net and first-years Liv Yeagle (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Katherine Kerin (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Indian Hill) connected to knot the game with 17:43 to play in the half.

St. Mary's sandwiched a pair of goals around an unassisted strike from Alex Goles (Cockeysville, Md./Roland Park) before the Red Devils closed out the half with three straight to lead 6-4.

Chase Landis (New Canaan, Conn./Berkshire School) and Kerin found the net before Goles fed Holt for her second of the game with 2:31 on the clock.

The Seahawks again countered an unassisted score from Goles to cut the deficit to 7-6. Goles forced a turnover and Maddy Gesner (West Newton, Mass./Kimball Union Academy) gave Dickinson an 8-6 cushion.

Landis and Gesner would each add another goal, giving the Red Devils a 10-8 advantage with 4:35 remaining in the game.

The Seahawks looked to rally late, scoring twice to tie the game with 1:42 on the clock and force the game into overtime.
