Meet Highlights
- The Bullets led from start-to-finish in the 200 free relay with Yancey punctuating the effort with a 20.16 split in the final 50. Sophomore Sam Nonemaker (Shippensburg, Pa./Shippensburg), junior Brian Berry (Canton, Conn./Canton), and Collins joined Yancey on the relay, which finished just 0.6 seconds off an NCAA "B" qualifying time.
- Proxmire overpowered the competition on the way to a personal best and the third-best time in program history in the 500 free. The junior was sub-29 seconds on each of his 10 50-yard splits and bested his previous PR by over two seconds with a mark of 4:38.42. He finished 13 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.
- Gettysburg won all three heats of the 200 IM with Edelson posting the top time at 1:55.32. Senior Adam Dias (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington) finished fifth at 1:58.58 and freshman Zac Evans (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) placed sixth at 1:59.77.
- The Bullets dominated the 50 free by winning five of six heats and placing eight swimmers among the top 12. Yancey slid under the NCAA standard with a career-best 20.56, while Collins placed third at 21.26.
- A great transition on the first exchange between senior Jeff Ragatz (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) and junior Danny Petrillo (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) set the stage for a seven-second victory in the 400 medley relay (3.25.45). Petrillo lifted the Bullets to a big lead at the midway point after his breaststroke segment and Edelson and Collins polished off the win with the fly and freestyle, respectively.
