Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully) placed runner up in a field of 38 to lead the Gettysburg College men's cross country team to a split at the Little Three Meet on Friday at Franklin & Marshall College.

The Finish Line
- Sheldon cruised through the 5,000-meter woodsy course in 15:29.8 to finish as the runner-up. This is Sheldon's third straight race where he has placed within the top 3.
- Gettysburg's second finisher was McKeever, who placed seventh in 16:05.2.
- The Bullets' third through fifth-place finishers all crossed the finish line within 20 seconds of each other. Freshman Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) came in 12th in 16:22.8, senior Aren Heitmann (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe) took 13th in 16:24.0, and freshman Joseph Potz (Crestline, Calif./Rim of the World) was 17th in 16:42.1.
- Finishing as displacers as the team's sixth and seventh runners were sophomores Jack Kenyon (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields) (22nd, 16:59.0) and (40th, 21:28.5) and Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) (24th, 17:01.0).
Little Three History
- The first Little Three Meet happened in 1966, which was hosted by Gettysburg.
- Gettysburg runners have captured the individual title 14 times. Bob Meares captured the first ever-individual title in 1966 and Tom Ratliffe then notched the next two wins in 1967 and 1968.
- As a team, the Bullets won the first-ever Little Three Meet back in 1966 and have won 14 total.
