CARLISLE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Swimming won its fifth dual meet of the year on Saturday, topping Dickinson College 164-97 and finishing the Centennial Conference slate with a 5-1 record.
Swarthmore led off with a 1:36.61 to take first in the 200-yard medley relay. Alec Menzer anchored the heat with a 21.57-second split.
Freshman Ben Freeman earned his first victory of the day with a sub-10 1,000 free. His 9:54.21 is third best in the Centennial this year. His 4:47.48 later in the 500 free was also good enough for first place.
Alec Lawless darted to first in the 200 free with a time of 1:47.04.
In the 100 back, Horace Shew swam to first in 53.01.
Freshman Alex Hatzikos edged Dickinson's lead swimmer in the 200 fly to win by 0.1 seconds (2:00.22).
Menzer won the 100 free in 48.83, and Jeremy Rockaway won the 100 fly in 52.74.
Swarthmore closed out the meet with Ethan Bergmann, Freeman, Lawless and Menzer putting together a winning 3:14.19 in the 400 free relay.
The Garnet, last year's Centennial Conference Champion, now look to defend the title at this year's championship beginning on Feb. 20 at Gettysburg College.
