The Franklin & Marshall women's soccer team scored off a corner kick late in the first half and hung on to defeat Muhlenberg, 1-0, in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.
The Mules (4-2) had a 12-3 advantage in shots in the first half but could not find the back of the net.Â
Less than two minutes after F&M's goal, Muhlenberg had a good chance off a corner, but a header by junior
Carly Shaffer (pictured above) went off the post.
Senior
Libby Juliano made five saves in the second half to keep the deficit at one.
