One week out from the Centennial Conference Championships, Swarthmore College Women's Indoor Track & Field sent the majority of its athletes to the Keogh Invitational at Haverford college while juniors
Clay Conley and
Naomi Bronkema went to the Princeton Invitational.
Conley had a career day at Princeton, breaking their school record by throwing the weight 51 feet 4.5 inches (15.66 meters) to take third place among a group that included several Division I athletes. Conley also took third in the shot put with a heave of 42 feet 9.5 inches (13.04 meters).
Junior
Lilly Price and sophomore
Emma Novak each took first in distance events at Haverford. Price won the mile in 5:20.54, and Novak won the 3,000 meters in 11:04.53.
Senior
Kayla Camacho, junior
Sydney Covitz and sophomore
Lauren Holt all earned second place in quicker events. Camacho ran the 200 meters in 26.81 seconds, Covitz ran the 800 in 2:21.68, and Holt ran the 400 in 1:02.03.
Next weekend's Centennial Championships are on Saturday and Sunday at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa.
