GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Sam Sheldon (Tully, N.Y./Tully) finished seventh among 97 runners to lead the Gettysburg College men's cross country team at the Centennial Conference (CC) Championships on Saturday at Gettysburg.

The Finish Line
- Sheldon clocked a personal record (PR), traversing through the 8,000-meter course in 25:34.4. His top-seven finish earned him a spot on the All-Centennial Conference First Team, marking the first of his career.
- Running in water puddles and mud spots from the downpour of rain on Thursday, McKeever was not far behind, placing 20th in 26:13.3.
- Freshman Connor Elliott (Media, Pa./Salesianum) took 47th in 27:23.8 while fellow classmate Joseph Potz (Crestline, Calif./Rim of the World) was 51st in 27:41.7.
- Sophomore William Hopkins (Raleigh, N.C./Needham B. Broughton) completed the team scoring, taking 55th in 27:52.1.
- Finishing as displacers for Gettysburg were senior Aren Heitmann (Fairfield, Conn./Fairfield Ludlowe), who was 57th in 27:54.5, and sophomore Charles Norelli (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus), who finished 66th in 28:18.2.
Centennial Conference Championships
- This was the second time in three years the Bullets have hosted the Centennial Conference Championships, marking today as their seventh in total.
- No. 5 Johns Hopkins completed the first perfect score of in the 27-year history of the Centennial Conference Men's Cross Country Championship.
Coming Up
The Bullets will take a week off before returning to action Nov. 16 with the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional, held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa.
