Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall softball team (4-10, 0-2 CC) hosts its home opener against Ursinus (15-9, 0-2 CC) Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. The Diplomats then travel to Moravian (12-5, 2-0 CC) for a non-conference meeting on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.

Last Week

F&M picked up one win against Rosemont on the road Wednesday afternoon. The Diplomats then played Centennial Conference (CC) foe Muhlenberg Sunday afternoon, where the Mules came out victorious in both games. 

In the 8-3 win against Rosemont, Toni Williams led F&M in hits with three, followed by Kat Gunther and Devon Witt each tallying two. Williams and Sami LaRosa each recorded two RBI in the victory. Aliza Sheflin earned the win in the circle, striking out three and allowing one earned run in 4.1 innings of work. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Ursinus

F&M swept Ursinus in its doubleheader last season. The Diplomats claimed game one, 6-1, before shutting out the Bears, 6-0, in game two. Jamie Belfer '22 racked up five hits in the doubleheader, followed by Alexa Klepper recording four hits in the twinbill. Klepper also drove in four RBI combined on the afternoon. Peightyn Schwartz '22 earned the win in game one, striking out three and allowing one earned run in a complete game showing. Charlotte Dwyer claimed the win in game two, striking out four and allowing one hit in the complete game shutout. Read the full recap here. 

Last Time vs. Moravian

The Diplomats face the Greyhounds for the first time since 2005. Moravian swept the doubleheader against F&M, taking game one, 4-1, before winning game two, 12-3.

Ursinus Team Preview

Ursinus is currently on a three-game losing streak entering Tuesday's doubleheader. Outfielder Madison Wilson leads the Bears with a batting average of .400. Catcher Kayla Carr leads Ursinus with four home runs and a slugging percentage of .632. Pitcher Christa Andrusiewicz sports a 3.53 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 67.1 innings in the circle. 

Moravian Team Preview

The Greyhounds have won three of their last four games after sweeping Elizabethtown on Saturday. Sage Snyder leads the Landmark Conference with a .500 batting average. Emily Silberman leads Moravian in both home runs (four) and RBI (18) this season. Pitcher Sarah DeStefano has a 1.97 ERA with 30 strikeouts in 39 innings of work.
