THE SKINNY STORY
Gettysburg held a three-shot lead after the opening round with its round of 295 before firing a round of 294 to finish with a 36-hole score of 589 and edge Franklin & Marshall and McDaniel by four strokes to win the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at Waynesboro Country Club.
THE LEADERS
•
Joseph Furlong (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park) led the Bullets, finishing tied for third in the field of 104 golfers with a 36-hole score of 145. He posted a one-under par 71 on Saturday before firing a 74 on Sunday.

Christian Deussing (Doylestown, Pa./Hun School of Princeton [N.J.]) was 12th overall with a score of 148. His round of 76 on Saturday was highlighted by a hole-in-one on the 170-yard seventh hole. He followed that performance up with an even-par 72 on Sunday that included birding all four par 3s.
FOR THE FOES
• McDaniel fired a two-day score of 593 behind Ryan McGarry's 36-hole score of 141 to win the individual championship. McGarry posted a three-under par 69 on Saturday.
• Franklin & Marshall iproved by seven strokes on Sunday to draw even with the Green Terror for second place.
THE REST OF THE STORY

Daniel Suter (Gaithersburg, Md./Milton Academy) finished tied with
Christian Deussing for 12th place with a 36-hole score of 148 (75-73).

Patrick Kilcoyne (Belmont, Mass./Belmont) finished with a two-day score of 154 to place 49th. He posted a round of 79 in the opening round and 75 in the second.

Evan Drummond (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) was tied for 59th with a score of 156 that included a one-over par 73 on Saturday.

Drew Hurley (North Falmouth, Mass./Saddlebrook Prep) led the four-man B-team with a two-day score of 150 to place 22nd, including firing an even-par 72 on Sunday.

Sean Engler (Bluffton, S.C./Hilton Head Christian Academy) finished 59th with a score of 156 (81-75).

Graeme Hollingshead (Basking Ridge, N.J./Gill St. Bernard's) and Nick Conti (Westfield, N.J./Westfield) were tied for 69th with matching scores of 159. Hollingshead went 82-77 while Conti went 83-76.
THE INSIDE STORY
• The B-team posted a team total of 624 (324-300) to place 18th. The 300 on Sunday was one of 15 team scores for the second round of 300 or better.
• The tournament was played in wet, rainy, and windy conditions both days.
• This is Gettysburg's second straight team victory in the 11-year Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic. This year was the first time the tournament was played at Waynesboro Country Club. The first 10 tournaments were contested at The Bridges Golf Club.
