LANCASTER, Pa.—No. 20 Swarthmore College Women's Soccer shut out the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats 3-0 on Saturday in an overwhelming output of offense.
Swarthmore tallied 38 shots and 21 on goal to F&M's five total attempts and one try on target.
Grace Taylor, Yasmeen Namzie and Brittany Weiderhold all scored for Swarthmore in the win.
Taylor put Swarthmore on the board in the 28th minute, finishing from close range off a shot attempted by Marin McCoy.
Swarthmore's lead stayed at 1-0 into the second half when Namazie scored her first goal of the year in the 71st minute. Namazie, a defender, was playing up on a corner play and tapped in the ball served in off the corner by Amy Harris.
Swarthmore netted goal number three with a tapper in front of the net again as Weiderhold collected a rebounded shot by Amelia Mounts and finished for her fourth goal of the season.
The Garnet, now 9-0-1 on the season and 3-0-1 in Centennial Conference play host Washington College at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
