FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The junior class flexed its muscles in a non-conference dual with the University of Mary Washington (6-5) Saturday afternoon, playing a part in nine of Gettysburg College's (7-0) 11 race wins as part of a 159-103 victory.

Meet Highlights

• The Bullets won each of the first five events. Collins and Nonemaker swam the final two legs of the winning 400 medley relay before claiming individual wins in the 200 free and 100 breast, respectively. Collins added another win in the 100 free with Nonemaker placing third in the same event.
• Yancey had a hand in four wins, joining Collins, Nonemaker, and senior Jeff Ragatz (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) on the 400 medley relay and capping the meet by leading off the 200 free relay ahead of classmate Brian Berry (Canton, Conn./Canton), Ragatz, and Nonemaker. Yancey surged into the wall with a 0.25 second win in the 50 free and won the 200 breast for the second consecutive meet, finishing less than a second ahead of Noah Carpenter from Mary Washington.
• Proxmire swept the long-distance races for the third time this season. The junior picked up a win in the 500 free for the seventh time, out-running teammate Danny Petrillo (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) by six seconds. Proxmire claimed victory in the 1,000 free by over 10 seconds.
• Freshman Nick Cox (Purcellville, Va./Ponte Vedra) won his eighth individual race of the year, beating out Ragatz by over 1.5 seconds with a time of 52.99 in the 100 back. Cox finished second in the 200 back at 2:01.21.
• Junior Jack Edelson (Charlotte, N.C./Providence Senior) secured his 12th race win of the season and fifth in the 100 fly with a time of 52.18. Edelson also placed third in the 200 free at 1:47.17.

 
Where the Series Stands Now
Gettysburg improved to 20-8 in dual competition against Mary Washington. The Bullets have won the last six meetings with the Eagles.
