Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall men's basketball team (12-13, 7-11 CC) gets set for the Centennial Conference playoffs after a dramatic 58-56 win over McDaniel Saturday afternoon to clinch the No. 6 seed in the tournament. The Diplomats travel to play No. 3 seed Gettysburg (15-10, 12-6 CC) on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. 

Last Week

"Win and you're in." Franklin & Marshall took care of business, winning both of its games in the final week of the regular season to clinch a spot in the Centennial Conference tournament. 

In the 73-45 victory over Dickinson Wednesday evening, four of F&M's five starters finished with double-digit scoring figures. Josh Parra led the game with 18 points, while also grabbing a team-high seven rebounds. Omar Nichols racked up 14 points with 12 of those points coming from beyond the arc. Vakaris Grauslys tallied 13 points with John Seidman closely trailing with 12 points. As a team, F&M shot 53.2 percent from the field in the win. Read the full recap here

With the game on the line, Josh Parra knocked down a jumper at the buzzer to stun McDaniel, 58-56, and punch F&M's ticket to the postseason Saturday afternoon. Grauslys, Nichols, and Parra all finished with double-digit scoring figures as all three players tallied 12 points each in the victory. The Bullets concluded the regular season with a 78-65 upset over No. 9 Swarthmore Satuerday afternoon. Three Gettysburg players currently average double-digit figures with Carl Schaller (13.2 ppg), Jordan Stafford (11.3 ppg), and Elijah Williams (10.0 ppg). Forward Ryan McKeon ranks first in the conference in blocked shots, averaging 2.18 blocks per contest.
