ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa.--Swarthmore College Men's Golf finished eighth of 18 teams at Bridges Golf Club for the McDaniel Spring Invitational on Sunday. The Garnet shot 320 on Saturday and 326 on Sunday as the weather worsened in day two of the two-day affair, giving the Garnet a total of 646. McDaniel won its home event with a score of 619.
Swarthmore senior
Dan Altieri led Swarthmore with a 156 (+12), carding an 80 on day one and a 76 on day two on the par-72, 6,713-yard course. Altieri finished 10th overall and five strokes off of first place (medalist honors went to Rosemont's Michael Lange with a 151).
Michael Brown had three birdies on the weekend and shot a 160 to tie for 22nd while
Vamsi Damerla checked in with a 166.
Nick DiMaio's 168 was fourth for the Garnet and
Adam Agustin recorded a 174.
Swarthmore competes next at the Hershey Cup on Sunday and Monday.
