SWARTHMORE, Pa.—Swarthmore College Men's Lacrosse fell 12-7 at home on Wednesday night to the visiting Washington College Shoremen.

Ryan Mulvey and Will Vespole each had a pair of goals. Dylan Rittenhouse, Mason Evarts and Bryan Murray all scored a goal as well. Murray, a senior long pole, netted his second career goal with 10:15 left in the fourth to make it a five-goal game.

Frankie Dillon registered 10 saves in net, and Ryan Izquierdo tallied 10 faceoff wins.

Casey Grieves led Washington College with six goals and two assists.

Swarthmore scored the first two goals of the contest with blasts from Rittenhouse and Vespole to open up the first quarter. Washington responded by scoring the next six goals straight.

Swarthmore got two goals back in the second quarter, but were kept off the board in the third quarter. The Garnet won the fourth quarter 3-2 but couldn't pull closer than five goals.

The regular season concludes for Swarthmore at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at Haverford.
