The Muhlenberg track and field teams tuned up for next weekend's Centennial Conference Championships at two locations.
The men's 4x800 relay team turned in one of the best performances in program history at the Penn Relays, while two women improved on their performance list efforts and one male put made his performance list debut at Lehigh's Carol and John Covert Classic.

Sam Morgan (pictured above, left to right) combined for a 7:51.03 finish at the renowned Penn Relays, marking the third-fastest time in program history. The Mule quartet finished second in its heat behind Monroe, a junior college, and came in ahead of Division I teams from Howard, Troy and Maryland-Eastern Shore.

Back in the Lehigh Valley, sophomore
Sam Rothstein made noise in his competitive hammer throw debut, registering a 93-5 toss to rank fourth on the program's performance list. He added a personal best in the shot put at 41-2¼ to finish ninth in the event.

On the women's side, sophomore
Jill Lissner entered the day fourth on the performance list in the hammer throw with a 77-11 and bettered that distance to 80-6. In the javelin, freshman
Megan Kveragas jumped from eighth to seventh by recording a 108-1.
