The warm Florida weather continued to be to the liking of the Muhlenberg softball team, which pounded out 28 hits in wins against Penn State Brandywine (16-10) and Lebanon Valley (7-2).
The Mules (3-1) averaged 9.0 runs per game and hit .402 as a team on the first two days of their Spring Break trip.

Muhlenberg sprinted out of the gates against Penn State Brandywine, scoring six runs in the top of the first. A two-run single by senior
Allyson Sweeney and Schubert's bases-clearing double were the big hits.Â
Sweeney added an RBI double in a seven-run fourth that extended the Mules' lead to 14-3. Freshman
Genna Cicchetti added an RBI single, one of her three hits in the game.
Brandywine closed to within 15-10 before Bridgers came on in the sixth to slam the door.
The Lebanon Valley game was tied 2-2 through three before Muhlenberg scored in each of its final three turns at bat.
Schubert
(pictured above) led off the fourth with a walk and eventually scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly by sophomore
Ariana Feliziani. Later in the inning, freshman
Kristin Oberg singled in Karmazyn, who had doubled.
Senior
Kristy Selby doubled and scored in the fifth and brought in an insurance run with a two-out single in the sixth, bringing home Sweeney, who had doubled in a run.
