LANCASTER, Pa. – Swarthmore College Men's Track and Field returned to action against some familiar opponents on Saturday at the Coach I Open at Franklin & Marshall College.
The meet was comprised of several Division III programs, including Centennial foes F&M, Dickinson, Muhlenberg and Gettysburg.
In the 3,000-meter run,
Ethan Rothenberg crossed the finish line in 8th place with a time of 9:10.68.
Vaughn Parts recorded a time of 9:15.40 for a 10th place finish.
Adil Belgaumi earned a time of 7.52 seconds in the 60-meter dash.
In the 800-meter run,
Aiden Tomov earned a 5th place finish with a time of 2:01.49.
Aidan Cantine and
Jonah Ring added times of 4:35.28 and 4:43.73 in the mile, respectively.
Jonah Covitz finished the long jump event with a best mark of 5.64 meters (18'-6"). The sophomore addeda. Mark of 11.61 meters (38'-1.25") in the triple jump.
In the shot put,
Gabe Stuger finished with a best mark of 11.25 meters (36'-11"). Julia Del Cid added a mark of 8.32 meters (27'-3.75").
Bastiaan Phair and Christopher Folk each finished with a best mark of 1.65 meters (5'-5") in the high jump.
In the pole vault,
Alex Flowers, finished with a best height of 3.80 meters (12'-5.50").
Swarthmore will be back in action on Saturday as they compete in the Villanova Invite. The meet, slated to begin at 4:00 p.m. will take place at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.
